After his 2013 mixtape release, Done Thinking, (which was hosted by DJ Suss-One) Handles has spent the last few years growing as a person, as an artist and perfecting his craft; and fanbase. Spending a considerable amount of time on the road not only helped give him perspective, it also helped him gain recognition as he opened up for artists such as Skyzoo, Talib Kweli, Rapsody, Joe Budden, Beanie Sigel, Havoc and EPMD to name a few.
Handles displays that growth on his new album 809060, which stands for; Born in the 80’s, Raised in the 90’s, and Taught by the 60’s. The idealogy demonstrates Handles background growing up, but also represents a relatable concept album to a generation that were born, raised and taught from a similar timeline. Handles 809060 is a thirteen track LP with collaborations from Skyzoo, Kori Nicole, Rone and more along with stand out productions from OSYM, ArrogantWatcher, T-Rifik & Maskerade.
Today, Handles shares “Break Records,” which finds him passing the baton back and forth with Skyzoo. Click play and vibe to some great music that’s real, raw, and soulful.
